The Air Jordan 5 WINGS Is Releasing In September

Other than being the greatest basketball player of all time and the name and face behind one of the sneaker industry’s most profitable brands, Michael Jordan is an avid proponent of education equality and making sure everyone has the opportunity to earn a degree. With the influence MJ’s teachers and educators had on his life fundamentally in mind, he founded the WINGS Scholarship Program that aimed at building unbreakable bonds between students and educators. In celebration of this foundation, the Jumpman has released numerous WINGS colorways of heralded Jordan Brand silhouettes the likes of the Air Jordan 12 and the Air Jordan 1. Next month, the Air Jordan 5 will be joining these ranks with a brightly-colored iteration that equips a set of hand-drawn city-inspired graphics with a seafoam-like green serving as its anchor. A signature Jordan Wings logo with the phrase “Everyone Can Fly” comes woven into the underside of its tongue, while a red embroidered Jumpman takes shape on its heel.
