Where To Buy: Nike React Element 87 Thunder Blue/Orange

It appears that the Beaverton based sneaker conglomerate has no plans of slowing down the production of the widely-admired React Element 87 silhouette. As you know, the semi-translucent, REACT cushioning-equipped runner has garnered claim as the early favorite for sneaker of the year due to the combination of its technical aesthetic and its unprecedented comfort. Toss in a four-piece collaboration from the exalted Jun Takashi of UNDERCOVER, and Nike has a bonafide classic on their hands. Later this month, the React Element 87 family is set to grow once again, and the good news is that cork insoles are back. One of the 87s releasing this October borrows its color scheme from the beloved New York Knicks, sporting a familiar combination of Thunder Blue and Orange with Wolf Grey and Black mixed in for contrast. The increasingly popular Cone hue can be seen on this iteration’s toebox and heel as well as its sole unit plugs that are engineered in high traffic areas to helps avoid the sneaker’s foam from flattening out after extended use. After all, the React Element 87 is as much a formidable piece of all-day footwear as it is a streetwear statement piece. With an October 11th release date fast approaching, check out a detailed set of imagery below as well as our where to buy list that will continue to be updated until drop day.
