The COMME des Garcons x Nike Presto Tent Is Releasing As Soon As This Weekend

COMME des Garcons indelible knack for adding their revered luxurious aesthetic to existing sneaker brand staples has been well documented through the years, and their penchant for livening up Swoosh mainstays can rival just about anyone. Recently, we have seen the Japanese fashion house team up with Supreme to re-work the Air Force 1 Low, they have added an incredible color palette to a trio or Air 180s, and now they are set to revamp the Nike Presto Foot Tent from 2002. Originally unveiled back in June as part of CDG HOMME Plus’ Spring/Summer 19 Paris Fashion Week show, this abstract take on the iconic t-shirt for your feet sees its conventional lacing system replaced with a laceless, pull-string system. While this re-worked enclosure mechanism aids in this model’s slip-on access, it also alters the aesthetic and shape of the sneaker, lending to the appearance of a pitched tent.

Followers of CDG’s numerous Beaverton brand doings will have their choice between a primarily black offering with volt-colored detailing as well as an airier blue number with red and grey accents. Each of these two Presto Tents equip quilted inner booties, co-branded COMME des Garcons HOMME Plus x Nike insoles, and come complete with the Presto’s signature outsole.
