Since their inception in the ’80s, innovation has been at the very heart of everything Jordan Brand does. From legendary designs to industry-shifting performance technologies, the Jumpman is nothing if not innovative — and their latest boundary-testing creation is the brand-new Jordan Apex Utility, a space-age casual silhouette unlike anything they’ve ever brought to market before.

First unveiled in September of 2018, the Apex Utility looks as if it could have come from the Nike ISPA initiative. A translucent TPE sheath stretches across the black/red upper — borrowed directly from the the “Bred” Air Jordan 1 Flyknit — while the throat and tongue are jam-packed with detailing as well, utilizing an eye-catching dual tongue design with bold branded red pull tabs for pops of color. No normal Swoosh or Jumpman branding is present anywhere on the Apex Utility either. It’s been replaced with minuscule factory-style hits that appear directly to the sides of the shoe’s throat and a large strap-and-buckle system that wraps around the heel. A bold white React midsole then arrives to complete the look and offer top-tier comfort. A release date has yet to be announced, but stay tuned to our Jordan Release Dates page for further updates as they’re available, and check out this formidable new piece of JB footwear below while you wait.
