Nike P-6000 CNPT Revives The Early 2000s Running Shoe Aesthetic

Nike P-6000 CNPT Revives The Early 2000s Running Shoe Aesthetic

With the recent popularity of A-COLD-WALL‘s Nike Zoom Vomero +5 and the sustained success of other retro-styled silhouettes like the Nike M2K Tekno, the footwear market is ripe for more turn-of-the-century styled running/casual sneakers. Nike knows this, so they’re bringing a fresh “new-retro” running silhouette to market: the P-6000 CNPT. Arriving in two colorways — a tonal black and a classically styled white/silver/red — the shoe’s mesh upper is covered by vertical and horizontal leather overlays for a heavily textured look. Bold patent leather midfoot Swooshes are surrounded with embroidered trim, and a Cushlon midsole complete with Nike’s timeless waffle-pattern outsole then completes the look. The P-6000 retails at $120 and is set to be a staple part of the Swoosh Brand’s spring/summer lifestyle offerings — so you can expect plenty of colorways to arrive on Nike.com over the coming months, with the black pair arriving May 20th, and the white/silver/red sure to appear soon after.
