The Women’s Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe” Releases On August 17th

Since it first debuted in 1985, the Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe” has grown to become one of the most beloved OG colorways of Michael Jordan’s first signature sneaker, and now it’s set to release in a new women’s-only style complete with premium materials. Although the colorblocking and cut are true to the original, the construction is what’s different here, as the red heel piece and collar overlay are constructed of premium textiles to play up the shoe’s lifestyle feel. The iconic ball-and-wings logo deviates from its original form as well, trading out stamped branding for a three-dimensional metal badge. There’s no skimping on the rest of the upper either, as it’s made up of a supple leather. The look is then completed by a white midsole and red outsole. Jordan Brand’s compelling propensity to put the AJ1 at the forefront of their ladies lifestyle offerings has been evident the last few seasons, and this “Black Toe” will ensure that ethos is continued into the fall when they release on August 31st for $160 USD. Check out a full set of official images below, and stay tuned to our Jordan Release Dates page for up-to-date information on all of the Jumpman’s impending releases.
