Lebron James‘s team-friendly Soldier line has been around since the mid ‘00s, and it’s now set for model #13, as first images of the Nike LeBron Soldier 13 in a Lakers-friendly colorway have surfaced. The 13 appears to carry over most of the design ethos from the LeBron Soldier 12 with its snug-fitting synthetic upper, high cut, and laceless construction, but there’s a handful of compelling differences as well. The two straps move across the forefoot and collar in simple fashion unlike their zig-zagging predecessors, and the toe cap is gone as well, replaced by a single fabric overlay that runs directly down the shoe’s center. From a branding standpoint, a single swoosh adorns on the medial heel, an embroidered LBJ logo appears in between the duo of straps, and the straps themselves feature an industrial-style “Pull For Lockdown” graphic. Lakers-flavored pops of yellow and gold are then dispersed through the upper, and also appear on the white midsole. A special insole then completes the look. Get a first glance at these new Soldiers right here, expect a release sometime this summer/fall, and if you’re looking for more Lake Show-styled kicks, be sure to check out the recently-revealed Air Jordan 13 “Lakers” as well.
