The “What The” styles from Nike past were surely quite ahead of their time as we come to the impetus of the deconstructed age, though with Beaverton’s hand so affectionately held onto the past, the motif is gradually beginning to rear its head once again, pushing the same asymmetric fashioning along the uppers of an Air Max Plus dubbed “Color Flip.” While both the left and right foots are nowhere near neutral by any means, the latter finds itself in bolder tones as half opts for the iconic Volt and the other a faded orange. Its coinciding pair continues where the other left in the same warm hue, though its opposite side transforms into a deep, sultry purple, making up a pair that is as unexpected as it is loud.
