Nike Continues Its Deconstructed Movement With The Drop Type LX

From Virgil Abloh‘s Off-White collabs to recent in-line Air Force 1s, Nike has thoroughly enjoyed playing with deconstructed styles over the past year-plus, and that recent spate of stripped back releases is continuing on with their new Drop Type LX silhouette. The low-cut sneaker offers a bricolage style that’s almost Tom Sachs-esque, with a white nylon base that features an ever-so-small handwriting-style text hit and is overlaid by hits of sail and tan suede. A puffy blue foam tongue and black heel tab offer pops of color, and both are equipped with an imperfect hand-scrawled Swoosh graphic. The red insole is embellished with inkjet printer-style text, and even the white midsole gets in on the fun, rising onto the upper with a double-stacked design on the heel and a sizeable toe cap on the front. These interesting new Nike shoes are available now at select retailers like Milk Store and will likely arrive on Nike.com soon as well, so check ’em out here and stay tuned for more info as it’s available.
