British designer Craig Green is known for his eccentric-yet-beautiful designs, calling heavily upon bold colors and arresting details, and now he’s bringing that sui generis aesthetic to the adidas Kamanda as part of his SS ’20 collection. Using a plentiful helping of translucent materials and vivid tones, Green’s Kamandas veer away from their original soccer-inspired look into something that’s seemingly much more geared towards the club than it is towards the pitch. Each pair’s upper is ensconced in a translucent shell for a look that’s rife with details like an askew, doubled-up Three Stripes midfoot graphic and neon tones on the semi-translucent sole. The colors range from cool blues to minty greens and hot reds, and a Craig Green lace deubre appears on each as well. One of the most unique and compelling collaborative projects we’ve seen from adidas Originals lately, we’ll unfortunately have to wait till the spring of 2020 for an arrival. However, a set of images from Green’s recent runway show can be viewed below, and you can also check out our adidas Yeezy page for more collaborative work from the Trefoil Brand while you wait.
