This Nike LeBron 16 Low “Hyper Jade” Is A Tribute To Air Max History

Just as designers have references, Nike has theirs, often looking to the past to refresh the present. With the LeBron 16 standing true to form in basketball performance, its colorways are often surprisingly more involved as they have gone to honor the Air Tech Challenge II “Hot Lava” as well as the atmos x Air Max 1 “Clear Jade.” Beaming in retro influence the newest “Hyper Jade” make-up is one of unfiltered retro color blocking with loud tones making no consideration for anyone’s fear of color. Purple accents a mix of woven blue tones while yellow miniature swooshes on the toe and blent-in embroidered editions on the medial break up with not much influence; Volt greens take up back seat along the heel wrap, matching the neon aesthetics of the pink and orange outsole molds. What may be the most clever here, however, is the playfully modified vintage Air Max logo on the tongue whose “Max” is cheekily replaced by “LBJ.” Grab a detailed look at the pair right below and be sure to see it hitting select retailers as well as Nike.com come July 1st.
