Russell Westbrook Debuts New Jordan Why Not Zer0.2 SE PE For Houston Rockets Intro

Russell Westbrook was officially introduced as a member of the Houston Rockets today, and although it’s plenty shocking enough to see the long-time OKC Thunder point guard rocking a red and white uniform, what was on his feet was also worth making note of, as he sported a special PE edition of his Jordan Why Not Zer0.2 SE for photos. Boasting a bold color scheme that’s seemingly equal parts Rockets, Sonics, and Pride Month, Westbrook’s latest footwork is just as loud and unique as the man himself. The white and black mesh base is doused in colored accents, the most noticeable of which is the midfoot overlay, a bold design with a swatch of glossy iridescent material sitting above a checkerboard pattern on the quarter. Red, volt yellow, and bright green recieve equal time on the midsole, and each shoe’s heel/tongue pull tabs offer a Pride flag-esque rainbow graphic. This loud look certainly works well on the Why Not Zer0.2 SE — a shoe that’s known for its deconstructed detailing — and if Westbrook and James Harden can establish a “Brodie And The Beard” backcourt symmetry, the results on court just might be as scintillating as these shoes. Get a first look at the new kicks here, and stay tuned to our Jordan Release Dates page to see what the Jumpman’s got coming up over these next few months as well.
