The adidas Yeezy Boost 700 “Teal Blue” Brings in Some Much Needed Color

The adidas Yeezy Boost 700 “Teal Blue” Brings in Some Much Needed Color

Kanye West’s adidas Yeezy line has provided a seemingly endless inundation of monochromatic colorways as of late, but the adidas Yeezy Boost 700 “Teal Blue” is set to break from the mold and offer some much-needed vibrancy when it arrives this fall. The most colorful Yeezy 700 to appear since the original Yeezy Wave Runner made its debut in 2017, the “Teal Blue” offers many of the same shades as its storied predecessor, but applies them in a different fashion. A soft grey mesh base and steel grey accents on the overlays/midsole take up much of the real estate, but there’s also a healthy dose of navy blue towards the toe box and bold orange laces for bright pops of flair, the sort of which have become decidedly uncommon when it comes to West’s footwear. A gum outsole then adds a little extra classic style, while signature full-foot Boost cushioning concealed in the midsole’s bulky shell promises top-tier comfort.

This release may mean that West’s adidas shoes are trending in a more colorful direction — he did reveal more than a few bold samples during his recent Forbes cover story — or it may simply be a one-off piece of flair. Regardless of inspiration, it’s a welcome addition either way. Check out a detailed gallery of both on and off-foot shots below, and stay tuned for more information on a specific release date as it’s made available.
