The Jordan Mars 270 Gets The Grape Upgrade

The Jordan Mars 270 Gets The Grape Upgrade

A multifaceted homage to several classic Air Jordans, the Jordan Mars 270 has taken on many a classically-styled colorway during its brief time on the market, and now it’s appeared in a recognizable “Grape” makeup. A palette first made famous on the Air Jordan 5, “Grape” is a true paradigm of ’90s culture, featuring prominently on the feet of one Will Smith in “The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air” and serving as inspiration for several other releases since its salad days. It’s interpreted in true-to the original fashion here, with a white leather base giving way to vibrant purple and aqua accents on the tongue, Air Jordan 6-style heel tab/midsole, and the heel’s Jumpman branding. A small “Mars” tag graces the lateral collar, and a shimmering silver Swoosh is placed under the midfoot’s Air Jordan 4-esque netting. Cushioning is provided by a recognizable Air Max 270 heel unit, and an icy blue translucent outsole completes the look. Look for these new-yet-familiar Mars 270s to release on Nike.com in the coming weeks, and enjoy a full set of official images directly below while you wait.
