Official Images Of The Air Jordan 14 “Doernbecher”

The Doernbecher Freestyle collection by Nike and OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital was recently unveiled, with last Friday’s charity event in Portland, OR revealing an alternate version of Ethan Ellis’ Air Jordan 14 design. While that pair was made just for auction to raise funds for the hospital, Ethan’s original concept, inspired by his fandom of the TCU Horned Frogs and various elements of his treatment against a congenital heart defect, proudly stands firms as it represents the Doernbecher Freestyle mission. Seen here in official brand images, the Doernbecher Jordans are based off that TCU color palette, but also include the number of heart surgeries he’s endured, the city of his heart transplant, the names of the hospitals where he’s received care, and even the name of a fellow patient that went through the same medical treatment. Expect the Air Jordan 14 Doernbecher and the entire Freestyle collection to launch on Nike.com on December 7th; these Jordans will drop in both adult and grade school sizing.
