The Nike Air Max 97 Gets Dressed In Full Corduroy

Since its fling with Sean Wotherspoon, the Nike Air Max 97 hasn’t quite been the same, going about its now revered AM1 three-way with a slew of interesting corduroy fabrications. And though it may be quite a while before it sees the Round Two head once again, it’s still certainly dressing the part with an inline take of the same core style. Palettes, however, are where we see the biggest points of distinction: while exhibiting Spring tones, the kit is one heavily bright in comparison as it puts bright pinks and tans on center stage with supporting roles played by pastel blues and dark greys. The latter two, taking up the swoosh and middle layer respectively, lie very much in the background as the colorway more so pushes this two-tone, almost dessert-esque aesthetic. Featuring webbing of the brightest compliment — alongside lettering in retro blocks — the pair is a welcome harbinger of the upcoming season. Take a good look here and sit tight for word on its release, which will likely hit Nike.com and select retailers.
