The Nike Air Max 98 Adds Various Vintage-Colored Corduroy Panels

While collaborative projects with UNDERCOVER and Slam Jam are in order for the Nike family to close out the month of November, the Beaverton-based imprint is also looking to spice things up a bit on the GR side with a series of corduroy-infused Air Max colorways dropping exclusively in Japan (for now at least). And one of the iterations set to release is this brand new Air Max 98 colorway that, by the looks of its throwback-inspired colors, centers its focus towards achieving an aesthetic resemblant of old school thrift stores. Clearly pulling design inspiration from Sean Wotherspoon, head of vintage retailer Round Two, this forthcoming rendition lends itself to an upper comprised of full corduroy fabrications, and uses vibrant tones of orange, pink, and teal to outfit its tufted overlays that speak to similar palettes found in your local Buffalo Exchange today. Down below, the Air unit is coated in the same aforementioned orange hue, and housed by a glossy black midsole. See a close look here ahead, and find these hitting SNKRS Japan on November 30th, and Japan retailers on December 1st.
