The Nike Air Max Plus Gets A Sharp Black And Gold Update

The Nike Air Max Plus Gets A Sharp Black And Gold Update

Taking a break from the louder yellows and purples it’s recently dropped in, the Nike Air Max Plus is set to release in a cool black and gold color scheme. Having debuted in 1998, the Air Max Plus boasts hundreds of color and construction variations under its catalog and the forthcoming understated iteration may warrant at least a consideration for “best modern colorways” among Tn fans. Sticking to much of the design that’s given it a cult-like following, the ’98 silhouette has been given a blacked-out treatment on all but a few of its sections. Swoosh and “AIR” branding (unexpectedly found on the heel in this pair) are adorned in a muted, but eye-catching gold; the same metallic hue embellishes the reflectivity bars going up the forefoot and tongue, as well as the visible “Tuned Air” unit housed near the heel. No official release date is yet known for this luxurious take on the classic Air Max Plus, but they’re likely to hit Nike.com and select retailers for the typical $160 USD in the coming weeks. Until then, enjoy the official images of this cultural icon here below.
