The New Balance 997S Releases In A Classic “Team Red”

New Balance’s iconic 99X series has become synonymous with one particular color since the first 990 released in 1982: grey. The understated color has been a favorite of dads everywhere and was commonly part of the late Steve Job’s unofficial Apple event day uniform. Showing no signs of slowing down its grey-usage, New Balance mainstays continue being outfitted in the tonal hue, but the Boston-based brand has certainly ramped up its palette experimentation with some of its lesser known offerings like the 997S – now available in a white and “Team Red” version. This color scheme may scream “OG Air Max 1,” but it also suits the 997S’ silhouette well, elevating the sporty model to new lifestyle heights. Flanked at both ends by the eponymous color, the leather and mesh construction is left in a clean white, although hits of grey appear on the surrounding “N” logo, molded overlays, and ABZORB unit. Rounding out the classic design, an off-white ENCAP Reveal midsole supports the shoe. You can ahead over to NewBalance.com to grab this 997S now, but hurry if you want to get these in time for Christmas.
