When you’ve been producing shoes for over 50 years, is there anything new under the sun? Vans says “yes” and has been outfitting its line of products with compelling makeups both solo and in collaboration with the likes of BILLY’s TOKYO and COMME des GARÇONS. But the California-imprint hasn’t been shy about tapping into its archive to revive some of its decades-old designs with the most recent of getting a second life being the Sk-8 Hi “Refract Pack.” Both constructed with black uppers, the two shoes in this reissue don tonal jazz stripes flanked by psychedelic detailing from a time when some of our parents might’ve been wearing these to hangout with their high school friends. Palettes on both shoe’s differ, with the “Black” pair opting for darker oranges and blues while its “True White” counterpart rocks vibrant pinks and yellows. Nevertheless, both versions boast a vintage charm that has certainly returned to style.
If you’re looking to grab a pair of these Sk8-His for yourself or a parent, check out the links below as both shoes are available now at Vans for $65 USD each.
