Michael Le After its leak last year in April, the adidas AlphaBOOST has had a solid run, but as we enter 2020, it’s taking on an aesthetic much louder than its more neutral 2019 batch. Ostensibly saving these for rainy day, the Three Stripes are likely close to yet another debut. What we get first is a colorway much more imaginative than the ones seen prior; its colorway, which at the base a mostly white kit, is adorned by a print that gives of an air of hydro dipping. The motif — done almost psychedelic — depicts what looks to be wings all across the upper half, elegantly wrapping down in hues of light blue and dark accenting edges. Most of the AlphaBounce’s molded panels are removed in favor of a full knit upper while the newly formed sole warps at its heel in brown-tinged embellishment.
