Official Images Of The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Year Of The Rat” For Chinese New Year 2020

Unveiled only two days ago, the Chinese New Year 2020 collection by Nike and Jordan includes both basketball and lifestyle silhouettes specially curated with an abundance of Eastern-inspired decorations. One of the models slated to release as part of the forthcoming “Year of the Rat” assortment is the staple Air Force 1 Low model. Taking a much more clean approach than the Lunar New Year-focused AF1 that dropped last year, this upcoming rendition ditches the vibrant colors and floral patterns and instead trades them for a white slate that calls upon textured patterns mimicking that of animals, flowers, landscapes, and folkloric objects often found in traditional Chinese Yuxian paper-cutting. But to bring in some Swoosh personality, multiple icons relative to the Beaverton imprint such as the retro pinwheel logo, the modern Sportswear logo, and retro shoe boxes are married up with the aforementioned symbols that contribute to its all-over mosaic. The sock liners and insoles are where the splash of colors come into play, as an array of pastel colors coat its interior graphics that surround its 2020 logos. For a detailed look, enjoy a gallery of official images here ahead, and find these dropping at select Nike retailers in the upcoming weeks.
