Converse Debuts A New Chuck 70 With Patchwork Uppers

Converse Debuts A New Chuck 70 With Patchwork Uppers

Going in the opposite direction of its recent refined, preppy-look, the Converse Chuck 70 High has emerged with patchwork uppers. Reminiscent of thrifts you’d find at a local army surplus store, a drab green takes over the tall-silhouette’s top-half save for the rubber toe. And while the M-65 field jacket’s classic olive appears on this pair, the shade is just one of several that decorate the model’s typical canvas construction accompanied here by ripstop, jersey, and twill. “Forest Green” runs straight through the middle of the shoe as it dresses up the tongue, laces, and spines, but side views reveal the aforementioned military-ware tones and more. Varying panels don varying shades of green, creating a mishmash arrangement nodding to the ever-popular DIY-aesthetic. Keeping things simple, black-accented midsoles sit below in all their signature ivory glory.

If you’re interested in grabbing this Chuck 70, SSENSE currently has pairs in stock for $130 USD.

UPDATED February 6th, 2020: Select European retailers are slated to release this Chuck 70 between February 10th and 11th.
