Nike Adds Scribbled Swooshes To The Blazer Mid ’77

Nike Adds Scribbled Swooshes To The Blazer Mid ’77

From schematics to original sketches, the entire early stages of the design process has become a great source of inspiration for the inline Nike team, utilizing some early Tinker assets to bring the Air Max 1 to life in its “Sketch to Shelf” execution while infusing a bit of production technicality into the React Element 55’s line-up of colorways. Now, the brand is bringing the Blazer Mid ’77 into this very family, though they’ve opted for just a bit more moderation this time around. As such, the constructions are true to the model’s minimal self: white leathers outfit the base with all its stitching where they need to be and the toe cap and mudguard stick to their standard suede in off-kilter shade. The Swoosh, however — as well as a few subtler embellishments — mark with a scribbled styling as it sprawls as if hand-drawn. A red and black variation pair up for extra options, switching up the “1977” text on the forefoot, the logo hit on the heel tab, and namesake along the collar in either two colors. Grab a detailed look at both here and expect a release to hit Nike.com within the coming months.
