Nike Expands SuperRep Training Footwear With A Cycling Shoe

The Nike SuperRep family of products launched December 2019 to meet the growing demand for shoes tailor-made for high-intensity interval training (HIIT). Amid wide-adoption of COVID-19-related shelter-in-place protocol, The Swoosh is expanding its performance line of footwear with the SuperRep Cycle.

Given that more workouts are being performed at home, the SuperRep Cycle has been designed to better address the indoor needs of riders. A simplified closure system ensures easy-on and off access, while a textured toe plate and rubber studs underfoot deliver proper traction while walking to and from the bike. Furthermore, support arcs on the shoe’s medial side help feet remain secured no matter how intense a rider’s “Figure 8s” or other side-to-side combinations are.

Elsewhere, lightweight mesh uppers work in tandem with perforated sockliners and vents underfoot to solve for heavy, wet shoes during an intense session. The SuperRep Cycle is compatible with clips from major cleat systems. Launch colorways include a vibrant neon orange and pink exclusively for women, as well as a monochromatic iteration for both men and women.

Take a closer look at the SuperRep Cycle here below. And if you’re stateside, mark your calendar for May 26th as pairs are arriving via “Member’s Access” on Nike.com then and globally on June 1st.
