Just last week, the adidas Originals team officially announced their newest proposition to the lifestyle sneaker market — the adidas ZX 2K Boost. It’s design bridges the gap between the retro aesthetic championed by the Three Stripes’ popular ZX line, and the modern-day revolutionary cushioning system many have come to know and love as BOOST foam. Uppers are formed with a lightweight mesh and layered with molds that begin at the midfoot and extend out to the forefoot on both lateral/medial panels where they eventually form a triangular-shaped opening. Down its spine you’ll find it divided into two sections with the lower half seeing through to a synthetic overlay, while the heightened portion tops off with a Trefoil-branded mold. Below all of that, the soles are loaded up with the aforementioned boost cushioning which is more visible at the forefoot, and more or less covered by an opaque piece placed atop the rear.
Come August 1st, six colorways are set to arrive for both men and women. On the men’s side you’ll be able to select a white/violet, yellow/red, or a black/yellow, while the ladies will have the option between choosing a purple/maroon, black/pink, or white/pink. Each pair is set to release on adidas.com for $150 a pop, so check out a closer look at each pair here and get your pair now.
For other news, the Yeezy 700 v3 Azareth is confirmed to drop on August 29th.
