For many of their releases onward, adidas has opted to delve into their archive, bringing back many an early 2000s and late 90s staple. Their latest, which came at the tail end of the latter, is none other than the imposing Intimidation silhouette which first saw the light of day thanks to the FYW series from that era.
As one of the brand’s earliest basketball models, the pair has heavily influenced many a lifestyle release thereafter, most notably the Yeezy 500 and its signature tooling. The upper, however, has yet to be accurately mimicked as its supportive side walls are still unique in its armor reminiscent design. These are shaded in bright yellow here, matching that of the pressure points along the tread, while the accents behind prefer to contrast in their black mesh and white leathers. Reflective piping that accents along the edge right between said materials, etching passed classic embroidered insignia and printed “INTIMIDATION” text.
Grab a detailed look at these here and if you’d like to get your hands on a pair, they should be available once again on adidas.com very soon.
In other news, A Minions Reebok Instapump Fury collab is in the works.
