Reminder: The sacai x Nike VaporWaffle Releases In The US Tomorrow

Back in 2019, sacai impressed with their visually striking Nike LDWaffle, a fusion of the footwear brand’s LDV and Waffle Racer silhouettes. And though it was divisive upon debut, the collaboration quickly became one of the best releases of the year. Fast forward to 2020 and Chitose Abe seems to be at it again as she turns her attention to the Vaporfly and Pegasus to craft the visually evolved VaporWaffle.

Prepared in two colorways — one black, the other white — the model is ready for release tomorrow, November 13th. Though the palettes are far more subdued than its predecessor’s, the construction and aesthetic undoubtedly pick up the slack. The sole unit, for example, literally expands on the same hybrid ideas as the bottom juts far out from underneath a dramatically arced trim. Above, many of the suede panels wrap the mesh base by their lonesome; only the tongue, laces, and Swoosh are doubled, the latter of which doing so with an extra printed variation.

Grab one more detailed look at these here, and if you’d like to pick up a pair on their November 13th launch, then tune into the sacai VaporWaffle Store List.

On the same date, the Kiko Kostadinov GEL-Glidelyte III is releasing in two colorways.
