When it comes to the Air Jordan 1 Mid, the color-blocking possibilities are endless as Nike continues to cherry-pick all the right shades to be used for new releases. While the Chicago color palette is a certified classic that has been used countlessly, a new Air Jordan 1 Mid GS puts its own spin by swapping out the Varsity Red with the even brighter Chile Red.
The model is mostly black, which allows for the white elements to sharply contrast. Bright whites used for the toe box, ankle flaps, eye stay, and heel gives the silhouette a graphic, almost animated look. The Chile Red used for the swoosh and branding on the tongue is the only shade present to break away from the monochrome. Although only three distinct colors are present, the color blocking and sparing use of red create a statement-making piece.
A release date has yet to be announced, so enjoy the official images here below in the meantime. In other Jordan news, take a look at a new Air Jordan 1 Mid “University Gold”.
