Since signing to Jordan Brand in 2012, Black Griffin has laced up a number of exclusive PEs. And as his contract still has a bit of juice, the athlete will continue to do so into 2021, starting with a special, Pistons-themed Air Jordan 35.
Revealed during his Media Day shoot, the pair — which seems unchanged at first glance — adds a few interesting touches to the usual template. Along the heel, the branded tab is entirely removed, replaced with a piece of dark, chiseled foam. Up front, the tongue’s Jumpman is also swapped, though it does so for the Griffin’s signature BG logo. Elsewhere, the construction plays out as it would typically, the palette leading with a dark blue. Leather and suede overlays dress to this very cool tone, contrasting that of the bright red seen along the profile as well as the instep.
Grab a detailed look at these Blake Griffin PEs below, and if they ever make it shelves, expect to hear about it here.
In other news, official images of the Air Jordan 1 High Switch just surfaced.
