Jasmine Tang After several collaborations with the likes of Pharrell and memorable colorways such as the NMD R1 OG, adidas’s NMD franchise finally turns five this year. To celebrate, the brand reflects on its greatest hits to deliver a “Hyper Pop” NMD R1 that uses the Glitch Camo pattern popularized back in 2016.
The Primeknit uppers’ are colored in a Grey Two base, with neon green and pink to create the pixelated camo print. Translucent rubber lacestays and heel tab proceed to give the proposition a playful look. Bold elements even continue onto the sole unit; a green outsole runs under the grey Boost midsole as a final touch, creating a statement-making piece suited to celebrate the NMD’s legacy.
The pair will be available at adidas.ca on January 14 for C $220, or $170 USD. U.S.-based adidas fans can stay tuned for a release date.
