As sneaker culture and gaming continue to achieve mainstream popularity, Nike has been devising ways to introduce themes from the latter into their footwear. Following the “Have A Good Game” collection and the black, “glitchy” Air Force 1 Shadow, the Swoosh is now releasing a white pair that—once again—plays with 8-bit elements and holographic fabrics.
Uppers primarily indulge in smooth white leather. Unlike the black release, it uses a wider palette of colors to customize the overlays and other elements. A muted sage and Platinum Violet cover the overlays in an almost alternating fashion between the lateral and medial sides. While the medial side opts for a tame Platnium violet Swoosh, the lateral side sees two overlapping jagged swooshes to create a pixelated effect. One of these Swooshes is holographic, while a black Swoosh is stitched atop. The tongue and details around the collar and heel introduce much brighter shades, specifically Barely Green, blue, and red. Branding on this pair is also quite unique, as the tongue label uses two distorted logos for a hologram effect. In addition, the translucent rubber AIR panel displays the text in a pixelated font.
Enjoy the official images here below as you wait for the pair to arrive at Nike.com for $110.
