Nike’s penchant for snakeskin makes another appearance this month. This time, the luxurious material is laid atop the Daybreak, a silhouette that was only recently brought back in 2019.
Unlike its contemporary “Type” and “OverBreak” counterparts, the pair makes use of the original, retro form. Simple all throughout, the paneling retains the minimal look, with the counter, eye stay, and toe cap clad in “Sail” leathers. The mesh, lace unit, and lining adjacent follow suit tonally, while the Swoosh and heel tab contrast in their use of premium scales. These, which are rather unpronounced in their texture, complement the understated palette with a light “Particle Beige.”
Take a quick look at the upcoming women’s release below, and as it seems to have landed internationally, we should be seeing a stateside release at Nike.com and select retailers soon.
In other news, the Waffle Trainer II is returning this season.
