While the Nike D/MS/X Waffle doesn’t often find itself in the spotlight, it has continued to deliver sleek, futuristic offerings in technical meshes. This time, the model opts for a more rugged aesthetic and even ventures into sustainability via material swaps and patterned midsole overlays.
The uppers are entirely constructed of canvas split between a dark grey applied forefoot and a lighter grey elsewhere. A neon Mean Green used for the side Swoosh and the heel tab livens up these tonal uppers. Similar to another D/MS/X Waffle that surfaced a few days earlier, the usual solid midsole overlays now have a grey-based marble design, furthering the model’s experimental theme. The customary black Waffle outsole that has descended from the OG 1977 Waffle Racer has even been ditched for the speckled Regrind rubber—Nike’s innovative material composed of recycled materials.
