Nike Adds Height With The Blazer Low Platform For Women

The Nike Blazer Low Platform hasn’t been as popular as the silhouette’s less exaggerated iteration, but it’s delivered a bold, refreshing look to the fashion savvy. For its latest two arrangements, the model has dressed up in two understated color palettes.

Unlike sacai‘s upcoming collaboration, both newly-surfaced pairs of the Blazer Low-variant feature a standard upper in either tonal “White” or a two-tone “White/Black” scheme. Layered components are forgone on both options, but reinforcement around the toe and at the lateral forefoot remain: the overlays on the all-“White” sneaker indulges in a leather construction instead of suede. At a quick glance, the sole units underfoot don’t appear much different than what the shoe debuted with in the 1970s, but closer inspection reveals added height to the “colorless” tooling. Lastly, herringbone-patterned outsoles also boast a plain styling, although future releases may opt into a light gum brown finish.
