The Tuxedo Look Returns To The Nike Air Force 1 Low

The Tuxedo Look Returns To The Nike Air Force 1 Low

Nothing can quite spiff up an outfit like a classic tuxedo or a simple black suit with a white shirt. That simplicity has never failed in the sartorial world, nor has it when it comes to the ubiquitous Air Force 1, a shoe that has its fair share of black/white colorways in the past. This upcoming release of the AF1, built with a classic all-leather approach with nylon tongues, achieves that same black-tie look as it opts for a full black leather upper with white secondary accents on the Swoosh, heel-tab, tongue label, and outsole. Much like many of the other colorless two-toned AF1s of the past, these will likely clear out of shelves fast for its price and its versatile nature.

Expected to release on Nike.com and Nike retailers globally for $90, this Air Force 1 Low “Tuxedo” refocuses the ’82 model as we approach the astounding 40th anniversary of the model in 2022. But drops like this remind us that not much really needs to be done to the Bruce Kilgore design in order to get our attention, and although we can appreciate all the experimental interpretations Nike has toyed with in the past, the originals will never be beaten. Stay tuned for the release; we’ll update you when it comes.
