Jasmine Tang Already on his seventh signature sneaker with Nike, Kyrie Irving and the Swoosh has spent much of the first half of the year pumping out inventive colorways for the Nike Kyrie 7. However, things are taking a turn as the Nets player revisits the Nike Kyrie 4 to offer a low-top iteration of the model as his next creative endeavor. Along with the roster of already-emerged offerings, a clean White and Laser Blue arrangement will be joining the collection.
Uppers are in a stark white, making use of a gridded nylon-like mesh material. While the lateral side featured an embroidered outline of a Swoosh in Laser Blue, the opposing side sees this embroidery in a near-black shade dubbed Dark Raisin. More touches of the aforementioned blue are found on logos on the tongue and at the heel of the midsole. Additionally, the shade wraps around the heel via a graphic overlay of wavy lines. The theme of haphazard squiggles are also echoed by the TPU eyestay towards the front of the model and the Dark Raisin outsole under the full-length cushioned midsole. To complete the design, personal touches such as the quote “His Legacy Is Going to Live Forever,” a possible tribute to Kobe Bryant, and the word “Hungry” as part of his “hungry and humble” mantra are etched on the sole unit.
