Retro Royals Appear On The Nike Blazer Mid ’77 “First Use”

What exactly is Nike’s “First Use” collection? An amalgamation of different influences, the pair takes us back through the brand’s history, often incorporating elements signature to past eras. And here, for their latest Blazer Mid, we’re to see the iconic “Royal” take the helm.

The shade is found along many of the exterior features, primarily the suedes that dress both under and overlays. But the latter, in slight contrast, is far more textured, bearing a slightly unrefined, distressed finish. Below, the base is far smoother, allowing for the Swoosh to easily embroider atop in bright white thread; the text below, which spells “First use June 18, 1981,” is also significantly pronounced. Elsewhere, vintage insignia marks the tongue label, gilded dubraes accessorize the lace unit, and bright orange heel tabs round us off behind.

In other news, the Supreme Air Max 96 was officially revealed.
