Michael Le Reebok has no shortage of interesting partnerships, ranging from Power Rangers to hot wings themed talk shows. And though their second time linking up in 2021, the brand’s upcoming basketball collection with NERF is no less surprising.
Led by both the Pump Omni Zone II and Kamikaze II, the range totals to four different iterations: some a reference to the famous Nerfoop line-up, others to notable athletes.
The Pump Omni Zone II comes in a dual assortment, the first — dubbed “Light Jammer” — an homage to the series’ colorful design language. Graphic splatters mark the vamp and collar; the beloved “NERF or Nothin” slogan proudly stamps the tongue and lace tips; and a graphic sockliner complements the equally commemorative packaging. The “Big Bad Backboard” alternate follows many of the same beats, albeit with more focus on the same-named product.
In contrast, the Kamikaze II opts to celebrate Shawn Kemp, its “Backboard Breaker” colorway doing just that with custom illustrations and a vivid, fully asymmetrical color treatment. Expect to see it not only Adult and GS sizes but also a Summer-equipped Low-Top variant.
