Over the last seven months, adidas has funneled notable energy into one of its most iconic silhouettes from the 1980s: the adidas Forum. In addition to highly-coveted collaborations with the likes of Beyoncé and Bad Bunny, the model has also emerged in limited ensembles co-created by or distributed via a select network of retailers. The latest in this latter cohort arrives in the form of a high-quality ’84 Hi iteration being raffled away by SHINZO Paris for under $3 USD.
Effectively a four-way project between the two aforementioned brands, Nicolas Bianco and Trajectoire Studio, the upcoming Forum Hi has been limited to just 300 pairs. Rooted in the idea that one should “Never forget the origins,” the joint-effort indulges in a reimagined take of the basketball sneaker’s inaugural white, grey and blue colorway. The collaborative pair features marble patterns across its Italian leather overlays around the forefoot and along the profiles. adidas’ 3-Stripes hits on the mid-foot indulge in a “Kintsugi” aesthetic, nodding to the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with a material that’ll highlight the breakage instead of hiding it; the “imperfection” is also printed onto the bottom of the shoe and is visible through the semi-translucent outsole. Each pair is numbered on the medial heel, branded with “SHINZO PARIS” on the tongue label and boasts an important reminder about origins on the medial midsole.
Enjoy imagery of the shoes here below, and head over to SHINZO.PARIS between now and June 21st to enter the raffle for €2; multiple entries are purchasable to increase chances of winning.
Elsewhere under the Three Stripes umbrella, there are a dozen YEEZY restocks occurring between now and November.
