PJ Tucker Reveals Diamond-Encrusted Air Jordan 1 Worth $250,000

PJ Tucker has cemented himself as the universally-accepted “sneaker king” of the NBA over the last few years, and that was without an NBA ring to his name. So, upon winning his first title with the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2020-21 season, the North Carolina-native went all-out: he commissioned a diamond-encrusted Air Jordan 1 worth $250,000 USD from The Shoe Surgeon and JASON OF BEVERLY HILLS.

Customized sneakers are nothing new to the forward, but the latest pair unquestionably tops previous ones with its hefty price tag. Color-wise, the shoe is left rather muted, with black taking over most of the upper and the outsole; a white midsole enters the mix, creating some variety, but the stars of the show are the materials used. Genuine crocodile leather covers the retro’s top-half, while 2,020 white diamonds set into 150 grams of 14K white gold form profile swooshes and zip-ties à la Off-White. Furthermore, the shoe reportedly took more than 100 hours to complete, which surely make it one of the most meticulously-crafted Jordan 1 pairs to exist.
