Jasmine Tang Without a doubt, the Nike Waffle One isn’t receiving as much attention as any of the upcoming ambitious Nike LDWaffle collaborations. However, the model has been steadily building its list of colorways for options that are more affordable (and much more attainable) than the aforementioned collaborative styles. Among these new additions is a pair that indulges in a sporty mix of navy and orange hues.
The offering starts off with a “Midnight Navy” ultrafine mesh base that sees matching suede lacestays and overlays on the toe and heel. Even the signature stacked heel piece is in navy to maintain a tonal look. Layers of orange textile can be seen through the mesh, with the bright hue also making its way onto the tongue. Mint green stitching along the collar creates further contrast, followed by the stark white that animates the profile Swooshes. In true Waffle One fashion, a white foam sole that sees a black Waffle pattern underfoot completes yet another impressive arrangement.
