As part of its 30th anniversary, the Nike Air Huarache has dug into the archives to retro some of the most iconic styles from the early 1990s. Additionally, Tinker Hatfield’s storied design has emerged in handfuls of non-original, but compelling colorways. Case in point: a greyscale option animated by “Laser Blue” flair.
Various shades of cool grey take over most of the pair’s upper, with neoprene material at the tongue boasting a bluish tint. Structural components along the profiles and around the heel opt for a dark arrangement that spills over onto much of the sole unit. The aforementioned “Laser Blue” tone, which debuted during the Air Huarache’s inaugural era, takes over branding on the tongue and outsole. Despite not being an original colorway, the latest color palette to surface is rooted in 1991-flair, harkening to the scuba diving shoe-inspired design’s inherent boldness.
No official release date has been disclosed by the brand, but this Nike Huarache is likely to hit Nike.com before 2021 ends. In any case, enjoy images of the pair ahead.
