To say Nike is just a sportswear brand would be totally inaccurate. Over the past few decades, the brand has easily escaped that stereotype, creating shoes that belong to no specific category. But here, they’re leaning just a bit closer to lifestyle, creating a shoe — dubbed the Be-Do-Win — that’s far different than anything they’ve released this year thus far.
In look, the shoe is more akin to a moccasin, leaning uncannily close to some of Clarks’ best icons. The suede construction only serves this resemblance, dressing the upper in near entirety. Only along the forefoot and tongue do performance materials come into play, their ballistic mesh texture made only more apparent by way of the loud, red color. Elsewhere, the lateral and medial opt for a somewhat retro aesthetic, alternating between hits of navy, bright blue, green, and mustard yellow. Some of these tones make another appearance on the heel whose embroidery spells out the model’s name. Finally, the sole — which is unique to the Be-Do-Win — is intentionally misshapen, its ostensibly recycled foam lacking any discernible shape.

In other news, the Air Jordan 1 Prototype is just around the corner.
