Michael Le At this point, the Nike Air Force 1 Shadow is near as perennial as the original, persisting far longer than anyone could have anticipated. And for its upcoming run of colorways, the silhouette is to don a palette familiar to longtime fans of the Chicago Bulls.
While it’d be easy to mimic the Air Jordan 1, the Air Force 1 Shadow thankfully goes against the grain as it adjusts both the color blocking and fabrication. Through the upper, a textured suede dresses over leather, the latter of which builds out the panels underneath in black and white. The sole and tongue, then, follow the brighter neutral’s example, while the branding takes a bolder, patchwork-styled arrangement. Adjacent, the Swoosh and heel tab is far more eccentric, finished with a pebbled feel.
