The Nike Air Force 1 has gone through countless iterations throughout its 39-year-history, which has assisted it in maintaining relevance despite no longer being the latest from the North American institution. With its Fontanka-variant, which draws inspiration from Eastern European rave culture, the low-top silhouette delivers some of the most eye-catching updates to Bruce Kilgore’s iconic design.
Suede panels peek out from the mid-foot and toe areas, boasting an off-white tone of sorts. Synthetic leather overlays atop the fabric base opt for stark “Black” contrast, but profile swooshes steal the spotlight with their “Pink Prime” hue and non-standard construction. Detailing on and around the tongue and at the spine also introduce experimental cues to the Air Force 1-iteration, proffering a statement-making option to rave-goers. To help with those day-long outings, Nike React foam is added to the sole unit, protruding from the sides. Lastly, the remainder of the midsole and outsole combination breathe fresh air into the Nike Sportswear classic, with the tread indulging in an off-kiltered layout and faint green color.
Enjoy images of the pair here below, and anticipate an official Nike.com launch in the first-half of 2022.
