Michael Le Though it may lack the Superstar‘s most significant feature, the adidas Y-3 Hicho is still very obviously inspired by the shoe’s design. And with it’s next two appearances, that connection becomes even more apparent as they borrow from the shell toe’s original colorways.
Not all is totally faithful, though. The sole, specifically, proffers a two-piece platform whose lower half tints a deep yellow. This is shared by the black and white colorways alike, both of which are built out of a premium leather that’s tumbled much more than your average Superstar. Then, the “Y-3” stamp of quality hits the heel, branding alongside the insole’s subtler text.
