Sneaker News In the past few years, Nike has pushed aside the Air Force 1 Mid in favor of the Low. But this year, that seems to be changing for the better, as the silhouette has planned collaborations with both Stussy and even Off-White. GRs, too, are propping up more frequently; and following the announcement of the “Independence Day” colorway’s return is yet another jewel Swoosh adorned pair.
Gone are the USA-inspired hues, though. In their place you’ll find a series of Autumnal hues, some cast in a metallic finish. These can be found across the toe, heel, and strap, all of which give off a somewhat bronze-like hue. As for the aforementioned check, it opts for a brighter orange, matching that of the branding at the vamp, tongue, and fastener. White tumbled leathers, then, dress the rest of the upper, while “Sail” gives the midsole a more vintage feel. What’s more, the inside label features a playful comic, which depicts two anthropomorphic Swoosh in conversation. Below, the quote states the following: “Inside out or outside in, as long as you’re right within.”
