The Nike Air Huarache celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2021, but it hasn’t returned to the sidelines just yet. Recently, Tinker Hatfield’s iconic design emerged in a kid’s-exclusive “Black” and grey colorway, complete with red-colored logos at the top of the tongue.
Grey mesh and neoprene makes up the entirety of the pair’s base layer, while stark “Black” tumbled leather lands atop the breathable components. A speckled TPU heel clip introduces further personality to the sneaker, but it’s arguably overshadowed by the ruby-colored Air Huarache logo at the top of the bootie-like tongue. Underfoot, sole units forgo any vibrant red branding or detailing in favor of a panda-reminiscent color combination that’ll surely make the shoes a versatile option in many kids’ rotations once they drop.
