Michael Le Fans of the Nike Air Kukini — whose numbers are growing by the day — have been desperate for the shoe’s return, clamoring for what has felt like decades. And while Stussy’s collaborative Zoom Spiridon Kukini Cage 2 may have appeased this audience some, it was no replacement for the real thing.
Thankfully, the 2000s silhouette is officially making a comeback later this year, doing so in several colorways. This pair, which subverts the tranquil aesthetic of the make-up unveiled much earlier, dresses its upper in a leopard print. And though obscured partially across the toe, tongue, and heel, the black spots and warm-toned base are on full display in between, as the model’s signature cage is made near entirely see-through.
